While controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate, they are prescribed thoughtfully and only after a thorough psychiatric evaluation. As part of our holistic approach, we often consider non-stimulant or non-habit-forming medications, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based treatment options when appropriate. Patients prescribed controlled medications may be required to complete periodic drug screenings in accordance with federal and state guidelines to promote safe and responsible prescribing.

If you are seeking FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, or other medical leave documentation, please note that Hamada Healing Center requires patients to be established in our practice for at least four months before these requests can be considered. This allows our providers adequate time to complete a comprehensive evaluation, develop an individualized treatment plan, and assess your progress over time before making recommendations regarding work-related accommodations or leave.
